Year eight of the Friends Fore Free golf tournament is in the books and a couple of constants remain. First God is good. And second, most of you folks are terrible golfers. But your faithfulness and support are spectacular!

Once again, Horizon Laser Vision Center and Leonard Davis Enterprises stepped up as major sponsors and 116 of you spent a beautiful day at Moon Valley. As a result, we raised more than $25,000. Over the summer, more than 70 kids will attend a Christian camp and will hear the Good News about Jesus Christ -- perhaps for the first time.

We would report the results of the tournament, but frankly they are unimportant. The kids are big winners and you come in second for your contribution and your prayers. In the eight years of the tournament, almost 600 young people have been to camp and the number of lives that have been changed is immeasurable -- including ours.

Thanks for all you do for these kids. If you're one of those really organized types that has your calendar for '07, mark it now. Next year's event is scheduled for May 7, 2007, again at Moon Valley. God is working, don't be left out.
